Install the Slack Integration

Authorize Slack for IncidentFlow through OAuth from the application.

Connect Slack to IncidentFlow by authorizing a read-only integration through OAuth. There is no token to copy — the OAuth flow is completed entirely in the IncidentFlow application.

Prerequisites

  • Access to an IncidentFlow workspace with permission to manage integrations.
  • Permission to authorize apps in your Slack workspace (or an admin who can).
  • The Slack channels you want IncidentFlow to read.

Install

  1. Open the Slack integration

In IncidentFlow, open Integrations and select Connect Slack.

  2. Authorize in Slack

Complete the Slack OAuth consent screen. IncidentFlow requests the minimum read-only scopes required to read approved channels and threads.

  3. Select channels

Choose the incident channels IncidentFlow may read. Limit access to channels that are relevant to incident response.

  4. Continue to verification

Return to IncidentFlow and confirm Slack shows as Connected.

Manifest method

For organizations that manage Slack apps declaratively, IncidentFlow can be installed from a Slack app manifest. Use the manifest provided in the IncidentFlow application, then complete the OAuth authorization as above.
