Upgrade the Slack Integration
Re-authorize Slack or update approved channels and scopes when requirements change.
The Slack integration is maintained through the IncidentFlow application. There is no in-cluster component to upgrade — maintenance means re-authorizing or adjusting the approved channels and scopes.
When to re-authorize
Re-authorize Slack when:
- the authorization was revoked in Slack;
- IncidentFlow requests new read-only scopes;
- your Slack workspace security policy requires periodic re-consent.
Re-authorize
Open IncidentFlow → Integrations → Slack and select Reconnect. Complete the Slack OAuth flow again. Existing approved channels are preserved where possible; confirm them after reconnecting.
After upgrading
- Confirm Slack shows as connected.
- Confirm the expected channels are still approved.
- Re-run verification.
